![]() ![]() So what do you guys use? I'm interested in hearing other player's opinions on the best/worst traits or just your favorite and least favorite in general. I tend to stay away from the traits that just give you a skill level or two but after playing the game for around 30-40 hours I'm beginning to see how these could be a benefit. Finally, fast learner is very nice to have for skill grinding and a must if for long term play-throughs. Maybe it doesn't do too much but I won't know until I try playing without it. Dextrous is really nice to have just to speed things up (but again not necessary.) I've only played so far with characters that have inconspicuous so I can't really imagine not having it at this point. With Project Zomboid you’re generally going to be spending most of your time avoiding the action rather than tearing through zombies. Kind of annoying but I have points to spare so I took it.Ĭat's eyes is nice for when I do go outside, but not the most necessary trait. He's survived just over six months now, so here are some more drawings I've done of him and his team since then. I often find myself wanting to sleep through the night since I really only go out in the light, and wakeful prevents me from doing so. A few weeks ago I posted art of my current PZ multiplayer character. Out of the positive traits I use, wakeful is the only sort-of negative trait. I tend to drive on the slow side so sunday driver doesn't really affect me. With slow reader I can always speed up time. Slow reader and sunday driver are traits I find to not be too big of a negative. ![]() I also don't mind losing stamina a tad bit faster frankly I don't really notice a difference. I choose overweight because I think it's nice to have some pounds to spare just in case the winter comes and I don't have a steady food supply yet. Anyways, in your opinion what are the best and worst character traits to have? I tend to build my character the same way each time: You may not find it suitable but its worth a try.Hey guys, this week I decided to buy the game after knowing about it for years and I really couldn't be happier about my decision. I currently can not find a build better than this to my liking yet. This website uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on this site. To finish it all off I get Handy for the +1 Carpentry bonus, letting me start off with 4 carpentry right off the bat making rain collector barrels available and also granting me +1 Maintenance for both blunt and bladed weapons. Hemophobic because the extreme panic it causes does not really affect anything besides reloading and aiming. High thirst is easily manageable, and rarely noticable if you have some water bottles on you at all times. (Test build feature only at the moment.) Next on my go to list is Outdoorsman, because ♥♥♥♥ rain am I right? I've recently taken a liking to Dextrous, as it makes pretty much any inventory related action just all that much faster. These are the best Positive starter traits to choose in Project Zomboid: Dextrous (-2): 50 to inventory transferring time. My favorite negative traits to take are High Thirst, Hemophobic, Weak Stomach, and Slow Reader. Lucky is basically a must for me, from the obvious benefit of increased loot, to even better stuff like low risk of bites and cutting yourself on broken windows if im too lazy or in a rush to clear the broken glass first. Combined with the above negatives, choosing carpenter I get about 16 free points to spend on the good stuff. Hit the fast forward button and go take a restroom break. so hey free points! And Slow reader to finish off because you can still read skill books, just takes about one day in game. Weak Stomach is some free points because lets be real, how often is anyone eating spoiled food in project zomboid? It's just a dumb idea to whether you have the trait or not. Hemophobic because the extreme panic it causes does not really affect anything besides reloading and aiming with guns which is easily remedied by some beta blockers which any gun fanatic in zomboid know are a must whenever you use guns, the only way you're going to get killed by Hemophobic is if you perform first aid on yourself within close proximity of zombies. My favorite negative traits to take are High Thirst, Hemophobic, Weak Stomach, and Slow Reader. ![]()
